Claire Oxley

I am a Physiotherapist that works holistically to get to the root cause of your problem. I focus on correcting faulty alignment patterns and restoring muscle function.

My passion for understanding the body and movement started from a young age when I excelled at cross country and athletics and then began a junior career in Netball competing at State level.  After completing my Physiotherapy studies in 2004 I commenced work in private practice and sports physiotherapy.  During that time I developed an interest in Clinical Pilates and went on to complete Level 1 & 2 with Craig Philips and Dance Medicine Australia.  Whilst traveling through India I discovered the practice of yoga which helped to heal an injury I was carrying at the time.  I then went on to study Yoga and Meditation in India and Thailand and in 2009 completed a 500hr Teacher Training Course with the Byron Yoga Centre.

In the last 6 years I have been studying alternative muscular therapies including Emmett Technique, Bowen Therapy and Finch Therapy.  I now focus on bringing the body into balance through a combination of therapies, core activators and flexibility exercises.
